About Michael Pollock
Michael Pollock is the President of RedPoint Management. He received a BA in Psychology from the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga, and a MS in Organizational Development from the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business. From 1992 - 2004, he owned and operated the largest experiential education company in Tennessee conducting team building programs for numerous corporate clients. He became a Birkman Certified Consultant in 2002, founded RedPoint in 2004 and earned Senior Birkman Consultant status in 2010. |
What's In A Name
“Redpoint” comes from the sport of rock climbing. It refers to a technique in which an individual identifies a climbing route and must learn the tools and maneuvers required to successfully complete the route. As part of this process, the climber struggles, falls, and in turn, learns from the experience. At some point, though, the climber has learned sufficiently and has enough motivation to climb the route cleanly with no falls. Managing people is a relational process. With the proper knowledge, tools and techniques, well prepared leaders build successful, thriving companies. |
