RedPoint Case in Point

For 5 years, Keith was known as a job-hopper. Starting with textile machinery, Keith moved into commercial carpet sales and then the sale of commercial tools to custom homebuilders. With each job change, Keith also experienced changing compensation and benefits packages. What's more, each of his former employers lost thousands of dollars in hiring, training and replacement costs. So when PlaySystems.com decided to interview Keith for a position in their business development department, they were understandably concerned about his ability to stay in one position for the long haul.

To make sure Keith was the right fit for PlaySystems (and PlaySystems was the right fit for Keith), RedPoint guided Keith through a personal assessment that yielded interesting - and exciting - results. While he enjoyed consulting with clients, when it came down to selling a tangible product, Keith always found himself in search of something more. Based on RedPoint's comprehensive assessment, PlaySystems didn't hire Keith for the position to which he first applied; instead, they asked him to take charge of creating their sales materials and training others to use them. Playsystems had finally found the perfect leader for its struggling sales force and Keith discovered a job that he plans to keep for a long time. Some people call this a win-win situation: we call it a productive working relationship.
